The scrappy version is the perfect pattern for Fat Quarter Bundles with coordinating fabrics. Mix and match fat quarters with similar volumes/colors to create the color balance and aesthetic that is most pleasing to you.  You can also make this completely scrappy and cozy with your favorite fabrics you have been holding onto.   Just arrange each star with varying saturations that are dark, medium, and light.
