Trunk Show Terms & Conditions

Overview

Crafty Moose Quilts offers the opportunity for approved local quilt shops, resellers, and community organizations to borrow quilts sewn based on Crafty Moose Quilts or affiliate patterns. Trunk shows are designed to inspire customers and support in-store fabric and pattern sales.

A Crafty Moose Quilts trunk show may be scheduled to coincide with classes using our patterns or a special event or sale. This is a great way to introduce Crafty Moose Quilts products to your customers and a simple way to inspire customers while boosting fabric sales.

For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, ‘Borrower’ refers to the business or individual requesting and hosting the trunk show.

Eligibility

Qualified local quilt shops, resellers, and community organizations borrow trunk shows quilts by completing the form below.

Eligibility requirements:

  • A brick-and-mortar retail location

  • A working business website

  • A valid state tax ID or resale certificate

We reserve the right to approve or decline any request at our discretion.

Booking

Trunk show requests are submitted through our website form. Availability is limited and not guaranteed. Once your request is reviewed, we will confirm availability, dates, and next steps for payment and shipping. Available quilts will be shared upon approval based on current inventory.

Fees

Each quilt has an associated fee that is required to be paid before borrowing. This fee is a rental fee only and does not represent the value of the quilt itself. The fee is calculated as the wholesale price of the Trunk Show Required Patterns. For example, 12 patterns x $7 = $84 model fee. Payment is required prior to shipment.

Pattern Purchase Requirement

Each trunk show requires a minimum purchase of twelve (12) patterns. The Borrower may select patterns based on the quilts requested, including multiple sets of six (6) patterns per design. For example, if two quilts are requested, the Borrower may purchase six (6) patterns for each quilt to meet the minimum requirement.

Borrowing

The default borrowing period is 45 days from the shipment date of the Trunk Show quilts. This period is anticipated to provide approximately seven days for shipping to the Borrower, 30 days for display, and seven days for return of the quilts. Crafty Moose Quilts will make every effort to ship the order within two business days of receiving the order and will use the shipping method chosen by the Borrower. Borrowing period extensions will be approved on a case-by-case basis.

Shipping

The Borrower is responsible for all shipping costs associated with the trunk show, including shipment to and return shipment from the Borrower’s location.

A packing list will be included with the shipment. The Borrower must review the list to ensure that all items have been received. The Borrower must retain the packing list and all packing materials for use when returning the quilts.

The Borrower must report any damage to quilts or products that occurred during transit immediately upon receiving the Trunk Show. Refunds, returns, and other support will be handled according to normal customer service policies.

The Borrower is required to insure return shipments for the full value of the trunk show. Failure to insure the shipment does not relieve the Borrower of responsibility for any loss or damage.

Care

The Borrower must repack the trunk show with care when returning it. Crafty Moose Quilts will provide confirmation upon receipt of the quilts in their original condition.

  • Fold quilts and place in bag. Quilts should be folded with the right-side in.

  • Return each quilt to its labeled bag. There will be a charge of $10/bag if quilts are not returned in their labeled plastic bag.

  • If you must replace the box that was used to send your trunk show, please be sure to use a box that is sturdy and large enough to ship the quilts without crushing them.

  • Use the packing list that was shipped with your order to ensure that all the quilts are returned to us.

  • Upon receiving the trunk show, please take extra precaution when opening to avoid cutting trunk show items.

Liability

The Borrower is responsible for any loss or damage during the trunk show or return transit. Quilts are one-of-a-kind and require careful handling. The Borrower is responsible for the full value of any lost, stolen, or damaged quilts. The value of each quilt is listed on the Trunk Show Resources page.

  • We highly recommend that you fasten every model to a stationary object to prevent loss/theft/misplacement.

  • Do not display the trunk show in direct sunlight as it can cause fading.

Return

The Borrower must use a reputable carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.) when returning the quilts. The return shipment must include insurance covering the full value of the quilts. The Borrower must provide a tracking number upon shipment. Ship to: Crafty Moose Quilts, 5504 Ivyridge Ln, McKinney, TX 75071.

The Borrower must return the trunk show within the agreed borrowing period. A service fee of $10 per day will be applied for late returns.

Crafty Moose Quilts does not offer product on consignment and does not accept returns on items ordered as part of the Trunk Show. Unsold patterns or products should not be returned with the quilts, as refunds will not be issued for returned product.

Agreement

By submitting a trunk show request and participating in the program, the Borrower agrees to these Terms & Conditions. Crafty Moose Quilts may, at any time without notice, cancel a Borrower's privileges and revoke their access to Trunk Shows and quilts. Revocation may be made for poor handling of quilts, failure to return on time, or other criteria as deemed necessary for the proper oversight of the property of Crafty Moose Quilts’ and brand integrity.
