TIPS:
No matter if you're shooting for a cohesive look with yardage, or using up scraps in your stash, simply arrange each star with varying saturations that are dark, medium, and light. 
In the corners of each block, add a color that will bring flow to your quilt, allowing your eye to glide from one star to the next. 
Watch your seam allowance while constructing each star. If the star is smaller than the sashing piece, there's a chance the seam allowance was not consistent during piecing.
 
Star of Wonder 2nd Edition features an 8-at-a-time HST (Half Square Triangle) technique that:
Eliminates sewing with a bias edge (a stretchy edge).
Allows you to incorporate directional prints.
Reduces the number of steps needed to create each star block.
